gINT Version V8i Ss1 Maintenance Release

The new gINT V8i Ss1 MR (Version was released on 12 November 2012. The new features are:

Enhanced AGS 4 program support and gINT AGS 4 Files

The Association of Geotechnical & Geoenvironmental Specialists Data Interchange Format (commonly known as the AGS specification) is a set of rules for the electronic transfer of subsurface investigation data. It was developed in the United Kingdom in 1991 and has been adopted in a number of countries. More information about this format can be found on the AGS Web site ( gINT fully supports versions 4, 3 and 3.1 of the specification.

The files available for download below contain the necessary support files for version 4. In addition, we have included report-quality forms that work with the AGS data structures. These reports include logs, a fence diagram, graphs, a histogram, a graphic table, a text table, a graphic text document, and a text document.

The files are provided in a standard gINT folder set (datatmpl, libraries, projects, scripts). Installation will not affect your other gINT files, unless they are named the same and are located in the same folder. If unsure, point the extraction to an empty temporary folder and inspect the files individually and move, delete, or rename them to meet your needs.

Plaxis 3D Layer Geometries Export

The new feature is available with gINT Professional and gINT Professional Plus, and can be found in the INPUT | File > Import/Export menu. Once exported, data can be brought into Plaxis 3D and used for modeling. Only the layer geometries are exported, so you need to assign units in Plaxis.
