Some Datgel products include optional features that use artificial intelligence (AI). When you use one of these features, the content needed for that request is sent to the third-party AI provider listed below. This page is the AI Provider List referred to in the Datgel Software License Schedule and the Datgel Master Customer Agreement.
Datgel uses only AI providers whose terms do not allow them to train their models on the content Datgel sends. Datgel adds a provider to this list before that provider receives any customer content.
| Provider and location | Anthropic, PBC, United States of America |
|---|---|
| Used for | The Claude AI models behind the AI features of Datgel View, Datgel Hub and Datgel Acquisition (for example drafting database queries from a question, reading labels on core-box photos, and interpreting soil and rock descriptions), and the Datgel Assistant support chat on datgel.com. |
| Content sent | Only what the request needs: the question or text you enter, an image you submit (such as a core-box photo), and, for query drafting, the names of database tables and columns. Content is sent only when you use an AI feature. |
| Training on your content | Not permitted. Anthropic's Commercial Terms of Service (section B, Customer Content) state: "Anthropic may not train models on Customer Content from Services." |

| Provider and location | Microsoft Corporation, United States of America. Audio is processed in Microsoft's Azure Southeast Asia region (Singapore). |
|---|---|
| Used for | Speech-to-text dictation in Datgel Hub (in its Datgel Assistant), and in the Datgel Assistant chat on datgel.com when your web browser has no built-in speech recognition (for example Firefox). |
| Content sent | Only the audio recorded while you dictate. Audio is sent only when you use dictation. |
| Training on your content | Microsoft may process the content only to provide the service and for business operations incidental to providing it. Its Products and Services Data Protection Addendum states that Microsoft will not use it for "market research aimed at creating new functionalities, services, or products or any other purpose". For real-time speech-to-text, Microsoft states that audio is processed only in server memory and is not retained or stored. |

Some products let you use your own AI provider account instead of Datgel's, for example your own Anthropic API key in a self-hosted Datgel Hub server, or your own AI endpoint in Email Sprucer. Content sent that way goes to your account under your own agreement with that provider, and Datgel does not receive it. That provider is not a Datgel provider and is not on this list.
Datgel updates this page before a new AI provider receives customer content. Your organisation can ask Datgel to switch off AI features for its users.
