Fence Generator Tool - Parameters

To generate multiple sections, the following parameters must be defined:

  • Default Interval – Space between each cross section along the alignment
  • Start Section – Distance along the alignment where the first cross section is generated (e.g. the start chainage)
  • End Section – Distance along the alignment where the last cross section is generated (e.g. the end chainage)
  • Radius – Length of the cross section on each side of the alignment
  • Maximum Baseline Offset – The limiting distance on each side of the cross section to include PointIDs

The following sketch provides a further explanation of the above parameters.

The list of cross sections is then built by clicking on the Generate Station button. This list can be edited to remove or add new ones.

Next the user should click on the Generate E/N button to automatically populate each set of cross section co-ordinates.

By clicking on the Default Scales button, the best fit scale values will be chosen to use on the cross sections, which can be overwritten as required.
